Challenge
Verisign was experiencing extraordinary growth, and suffering
from lack of integrated business processes and lack
of visibility to enterprise information.
They were gearing for large-scale acquisitions,
and existing systems would not support their needs
for integration, multiple locations, and consolidation
of multiple lines of business.
Within their existing systems, they did not have a consolidated
customer master, making it impossible to have a global
view of their customers and the products sold.
They also had no ability to “define” standard
products and therefore had no inventory visibility.
To enable the company to continue growing at
this rate and to improve operations and efficiencies,
executive management determined the need to implement
